Kastaniotis Editions S.A was established in 1968 by Athanassios Kastaniotis, who is today the Chairman and Managing Director of the Publishing Company.

Amanda Michalopoulou

Amanda Michalopoulou was born in Athens in 1966. She made her literary debut with the short story collection Outside, life’s in colour (1994), which won Revmata magazine’s Short Story Prize. Her first novel, Giantes, won the Diavazo Novel Prize in 1996. The American translation of her book I’d like won the American National Endowment of the Arts’ International Literature Award in 2008, and the same work was also short-listed for the University of Rochester’s Three Percent Translation prize. She has written six novels, three collections of short stories and several books for children. She has been translated into ten languages.
