Kastaniotis Editions S.A was established in 1968 by Athanassios Kastaniotis, who is today the Chairman and Managing Director of the Publishing Company.

Zyrana Zateli

Zyrana Zateli was born in Sochos, Thessaloniki, in 1951. She studied theater in Athens, but turned to writing early on. From her very first book, the short-story collection Last Year’s Fiancée (1984), she rose to instant popularity. Her debut was followed by another collection of short stories, Graceful in the Wilderness (1986), and the novels With the light of the Wolf, They return (1993), Under the strange name of Ramanthis Erevous: Death came last (2001), both winners of the Greek National Book award, and more recently by the second part of her Ramanthis Erevous Trilogy, Passion Thousands of Times (2009). Her books have been translated into French, German, Italian, Dutch, Serbian, Slovenian and Lithuanian.
