Kastaniotis Editions S.A was established in 1968 by Athanassios Kastaniotis, who is today the Chairman and Managing Director of the Publishing Company.

Alexis Stamatis

Alexis Stamatis was born in Athens. He studied architecture at the national Technical University of Athens and attended postgraduate programs on architecture and cinema in London. He had his literary debut in 1998 with the novel The seventh elephant and since then has penned twenty books (novels, children’s books, collections of poetry and plays). His novel American Fugue (2006) won the International Literature Award of the National Endowment for the Arts. His first Young-Adults novel, Alkis and the Labyrinth (2009) won the Greek Circle of Children’s Books Award. His books have been published in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and Turkey.
