Michalis Fakinos

Michalis Fakinos was born in Athens in 1940. He worked as a journalist in the newspaper Ta Nea. He has published eight novels, three collections of short stories, and a volume of current event essays. Two of his plays, Checkmate (1985) and Waiting for Beckett (2000), have been staged at the Stoa Theater. His short stories have been made into miniseries and have been translated into French, German and Dutch.
