Lonesome Muff was about to get rid of hateful Flock, Mister Bluff’s bum, once and for all by throwing the sack into the river, when a thumb landed right in his face and crushed his neck, folding the correr of the page and tossing the illustrated issue of «PERIPETEIA»
on the dashboard once again. On the radio, the Beastie Boys were screeching out ‘Sabotage’. Only a second ago, he heard Carlo saying ‘Five-to, Hector. Let’s go’. The two men got out of the car, stretched and smoothed down their long trench coats. They each
got a leather case, Carlo locked the car and they crossed the street.
On this side of the road, the heroes in the novel co-exist and tear each other apart: bank robbers, corrupt cops, hookers, henchmen and pimps, in out-of-the-way bars, rundown motels, and dirty nightclubs, where scores are settled via the barrel of a gun and death looms unseen.
A political noir novel; a blood-gushing story of revenge in the true tradition of pulp fiction, road movies, and of the films of Sam Peckinpah, Sergio Leone and Quentin Tarantino.
